Eyeota were looking for candidates with rare skillsets, so we researched a highly niche market sector and created a sustainable talent pipeline that achieved a 100% acceptance rate on offers.
The Challenge

Audience technology platform Eyeota was experiencing rapid growth in their business and was now looking to scale their engineering team across Data Engineering, Data Science, and Platform Engineering with candidates who could thrive in their niche industry.

Working directly with the CTO and the VP of Engineering, we achieved a deep understanding of their business. Adtech is a challenging, data-heavy industry, and the technical work was highly complex; and the impact that each candidate could have in their role was unclear.

Eyeota had a long, challenging interview process which led to many candidates withdrawing from the process, and the internal team wasted time chasing candidates. When they did identify suitable candidates, Eyeota faced an issue with converting offers in a highly competitive market, as there was a disconnect between the opportunity and what the candidates were hearing.

We identified that Eyeota wasn’t looking for your average techie but engineers, data gurus, and scientists who had deep low-level knowledge to optimise systems and squeeze every ounce of processing power from it. This talent group is hard to source in Singapore, and so it was essential to improve conversion rates for interviews, the offer acceptance rate, and reduce cost per hire.

We worked with the team to optimise the interview process to ensure candidates stayed engaged and educated throughout the process. We worked with the tech team to fully understand their challenges and identify other companies who had worked on similar projects.

The Results

We exceeded Eyeota’s expectations and secured nine engineers, grew their Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Data Science teams, and achieved a 100% acceptance rate on offers.

We have continued to operate at a fixed cost as an extension of their recruitment team, reducing their cost per hire without compromising quality.
